Minister to the Sick, picking up the pieces for our Community

September 25, 2022 by Editor

“Arise, shake off the dust, sit enthroned” (Excerpt from Isaiah 52:2)

The Ministry to the Sick is back!

Since the start of COVID, the Ministry to the Sick was closed, hospitals would not permit us to visit patients and we chose not to visit the homebound due to the pandemic.

Like all ministries, we had to pause our service to our community and we lost a number of our regular long-time parishioners due to COVID. The ministry has been extremely slow in resuming visits due to the lack of parishioners requesting them. There are a number of people out there that have still not returned to church due to underlying disease or immunity concerns and the ministry is here for them.

Now, new ministers have been recruited, trained, and are ready to go.

Who is the Ministry to the Sick for?

  • Caregivers unable to get to church,
  • Homebound parishioners, family members or neighbors,
  • Parishioners, family members, or friends residing in an Assisted Living Facility or hospitalized

Whatever the reason, The Ministry to the sick is ready to serve you, visit you, pray with you and share Jesus with the sick and homebound of Our Lady Grace.

Could you or someone you know benefit from the Ministry to the Sick and have a fellow parishioner share the word of God, prayer, and Jesus? If so please call 321-725-3066.

A minister to the sick, who has completed fingerprinting, background checks & Diocese training, will contact you to schedule a mutually convenient day/time to visit.

We are flexible and work around your schedule and special circumstances and we make it easy to schedule and reschedule visits.

  • "But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us....
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be
saved by his life ” (Rom 5:8, 10)
    Romans 5: 8, 10
  • "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you." And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
    John 20:21-23
  • "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him."
    Acts 2:38-39
