Welcome

Dear New Parishioner,

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Head and Founder of the Catholic Church (since 33AD), I welcome you to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Palm Bay, Florida.  It goes without saying that our parish community is entrusted to the patronage of our Lady, the Mediatrix of all graces.  Christ founded his Church and entrusted it to the care of St Peter, the Apostle (Matthew 16: 15-19; Luke 22:31-32; John 21:15-17) and his successors (cf. Matthew 28:18-20; Titus 1:5; Acts 1:20-26; 14:23).  We thank God for the grace of “Apostolic Succession” which has come down to us from the beginning – from Peter (the Apostle) to Pope Francis.

WE ARE VERY PROUD OF OUR CATHOLIC FAITH!

Our Lady of Grace Church, Palm Bay, FloridaThis parish is one of the parishes in the Diocese of Orlando whose Bishop is Most Rev. John Gerald Noonan.  You will find his picture and that of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, in the Servite Community Center and at the Parish Office.  The Bishops are the successors of the Apostles of Jesus Christ; even the Pope is a bishop.  He’s the Bishop of Rome and the Vicar (Representative) of Christ on Earth (cf. Acts 1:20-26: CCC 882, 936); therefore, he governs the entire Christian family and champions the cause of evangelizing all peoples into the fold.  Our Pastor (Parish Priest) is called by Jesus Christ to be a helper of our Bishop in this endeavor, just as Mark, Luke, Timothy and Titus were helpers of the apostles (bishops) from the beginning (cf. Colossians 4:14; 2Timothy 4:10-13; Titus 1:5; Philemon 1:24).

Our parish family is a dynamic community of faith, hope and love; and we have only one major preoccupation, namely to EVANGELIZE through the Word and Sacrament; Faith and Works (James 2: 24, 26).  “‘Evangelizing… the essential mission of the Church… the grace and vocation proper to the Church, her deepest identity’… ‘means bringing the Good News into all the strata of humanity [religious, social, political, educational, cultural, material and spiritual], and through its influence transforming humanity from within and making it new’” (Pope Paul VI, Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii nuntiandi, 14, 18).

Also, kindly visit the Catholic Church parish website frequently.  It contains the weekly and weekend homilies and important information about our parish life. We pray that, like the two disciples who journeyed to Emmaus (cf. Luke 24:1335), you too may find Our Lady of Grace Catholic family a fitting place for encountering the Lord Jesus.  Remain Blessed!

Sincerely Yours in Jesus Christ and Mary,
