Fr. Frantzcy Mahotiere Priest

Fr. Frantzcy was born on February 15, 1983, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His path to the priesthood began with foundational academic and spiritual formation. From October 2007 to June 2008, he completed a year of propaedeutic studies, followed by earning a bachelor's degree in philosophy from October 2009 to June 2011. He pursued theological studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Theology between 2012 and 2016. On May 27, 2017, Fr. Frantzcy was ordained a deacon, and just a few months later, on August 26, 2017, he was ordained a priest. His pastoral journey began in February 2018, when he was appointed Parochial Vicar at Notre-Dame of Lourdes’ Parish in Cité Militaire, Port-au-Prince, where he served until June 2019. He then continued his ministry at St. Nicholas’ Parish in Kenscoff, Port-au-Prince, serving as Parochial Vicar from July 2019 to February 16, 2021. To expand his skills and engage in further studies, Fr. Frantzcy moved to the United States, where he completed an English as a Second Language (ESL) program at Divine Word College in Iowa between March 2021 and May 2022. Furthermore, from August 2022 to May 2024, he received a Master of Theological Studies of the Sacred Scripture degree from Saint John’s University School of Theology and Seminary in Minnesota in May 2024. Fr. Frantzcy is presently gaining valuable pastoral experience at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Palm Bay, part of the Diocese of Orlando, where he continues to dedicate himself to serving the community's spiritual needs.
