Our Lady of Grace Stewardship – Rooted in Faith, Responding in Gratitude.
The Stewardship Committee was formed in the fall of 2012 when Fr. Emmanuel came to the parish. Our first undertaking was to update our parish data census since this had not been done in 10 years. We asked everyone to register, so that we would have a more accurate census.
In conjunction with the Diocese we held several seminars on Wills and Estate Planning in the fall of 2013. These were well attended and we plan to offer them again.
We are currently handing out welcome bags in the narthex after all Masses. This contains a ministry booklet among other items to familiarize them with our parish As new members register with the parish we then every six months hos a breakfast or meal for them. At this time we have various ministries present so they can learn what the parish has to offer.
We host the Annual Parish Picnic each fall. With creating a team and the Knights of Columbus assisting they have been well attended. This has been a great way to have fun and meet some new parishioners.
Time – Talent – Treasure
Each fall we have hosted a Whole Community Event that centers on stewardship and trying to educate the community to just what stewardship is. To further enhance that we had a Stewardship retreat here in February 2015 where an Ocala parish came and helped educate us on stewardship.
We hosted a “Year of Stewardship” in 2015 and tried to explain this throughout the year. It is more than just money. Time and talent are very important too in order to have a vibrant community. In 2016 we had the program “With All Your Hearts”
We have a Legacy Tree on the wall in the narthex. This is for anyone to donate to in honor or memory of someone.
We continue to work hard to bring stewardship into every aspect of our parish life.
